A short intro to what and who drives the Global FlyFisher

By Martin Joergensen

We do this for fun!

Not for money. Not for fame (well, maybe a little). Not out of duty.

For fun!

We are currently five guys running the site as partners:

Martin Joergensen, Denmark
Bob Petti, USA
Steve Schweitzer, USA
Kasper Muehlbach, Denmark/Sweden
Bob Skehan, USA

We're just plain fly fishermen and fly tiers like the rest of you.

We write about stuff we want to - and stuff we guess you want to read about. We cover patterns, fly tying, fishing methods, DVD's and books and gear. Most of the things we show are things we do ourselves or own ourselves. We do get review copies of books and DVD's, but it's not like a never ending fountain of packages at our doorsteps. Mostly we have to say "please!" quite a few times to get our hands on things and oftentimes we have to buy it ourselves... which we do... a lot.

We have a bunch of people helping us with content and usually provide space for anyone with anything interesting to say. So if you want to be a part of the "GFF family", just let us know. We work with pros as well as amateurs and aren't concerned with your level of writing or photography as long as you have something relevant and interesting to tell.

There is a whole section with articles about the site.

10 Ways to Fish Green

Fly Fishers are the original "green" advocates. We are active in conservation. We advocate catch-n-release. We support stocking programs. We even save the lives of bait(!) But there's more we can do.
