Merry Christmas

Thinking back on 2007 through some pictures of the year that passed

By Martin Joergensen

Sitting here with the smell of Christmas food in the nose and the sound of Christmas music in the ears, I have been thinking back on the year that passed, and wish to say Merry Christmas to all the GFF readers with a small gallery from 2007.

Having had the most dull and gray December I can remember I just wanted to reassure myself that the sun actually does shine sometimes and that fish can be caught.

In the spring

When the spring is peaking, I try to go out as often as I can. It's just such a recharge after a long and often dark winter.

Getting out again

As summer gets closer, fishing early in the morning and into the dark becomes an option - and can be very productive.

Morning and evening

Late summer and early autumn this year meant mullet and salmon for me. The mullets were few here, but we managed to hook many and land a few, and I returned to Iceland to fish for salmon.

Mullet and salmon

But autum on the Danish coast reminds me why I love to fish here. The grass may seem greener on the other side of the hedge, but fishing back home sure is nice!

The Danish coast

And the dog, the gear, the Summit and all that Jazz.

The dog, the gear, the company

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from GFF partner Martin Joergensen (and the other guys on GFF: Steve Schweitzer, Bob Petti, Kasper Mühbach and Bob Skehan)
